Edgar

I used my nightmare handspun to knit the Edgar scarf from Knitty.com. I love it!
This is where you can find the pattern: www.knitty.com/ISSUEfall05/PATTedgar
I had so much fun making this scarf. It was quick and easy.

Spinning a Cloud of Cotton

This yarn is awesome and it was like spinning a cloud of cotton! It was so wonderfully soft and spun like butter. Thank you Leah! What you might not know is I loved it so much I went home and worked until I finished getting it all spun. I think it might make a beautiful scarf!

Purple Socks

I just love these purple socks. It is a basic sock pattern and the yarn is Regia Cotton Surf Colors. What is special about these socks is I found the half finished project in a tote bag in my craft room. I can't imagine how long they sat there because I barely remember even starting these socks. When I found them it was like a little treasure. And the best part was I didn't get second sock syndrome! One was already made so all I had to do was make the second! I had to go out and buy a purple sweater just so I could wear these little beauties!

Felted Bag

I made a little felted bag for my daughter for Christmas. It was made of all left over scraps from previous projects. I used one strand of Patons Wool in a cream/tan ragg, one strand of handspun I used in a sweater and one strand of an eyelash I had laying in a basket. My mom picked up the handles for me at JoAnn's. All I did for this simple little bag was cast on 68 stitches on a circular size 13 needle. I purled the first two rounds then knit 48 more rounds. Sewed the bottom seam and felted. Sewed on the handles and wa la I had a little funky bag for a young lady. Hope she likes it!

Santa Came to My House

My best girlfriend retired last spring and moved away. I miss going to our monthly spinning group together alot! We still keep in touch through email daily and I don't know what I would do without her friendship.

Yesterday I got a Christmas box in the mail from her. I was so thrilled and excited when I opened my box. Words cannot say thank you enough to someone who has been such a wonderful friend to me. Thank you Deby! I will treasure my goodies!

Back To Basics

These are 3 simple 2x2 rib hats I made for Christmas gifts. DH loves his I made for him 5 years ago. It was a little worn so I thought it was time to make him a new one. His is the gray made of Alpaca, wool, and nylon. Three strands held together. I robbed my stash for these hats. My grandson wanted a hat like Papa's so his is the red one made from left overs from my Pilar sweater.

Last Pair Finished

The last pair of Fiber Trends Clogs are finished! YIPPPPEEE! I made 6 pair and
boy did that get a little old after a while. This pair is for my future (hopefully) daughter in law. She says she has cold feet so I think she will love these.
