Blue Wool/Mohair

I have been working on some spinning inbetween numerous other projects. I finished my blue wool/mohair. It isn't as soft as I would like it for socks but I am sure I will find something nice to knit it into. I started some bright pink wool/mohair and it feels like it has a little bit of silk mixed in. It seems alot softer.

I am still working on my superwash handspun that I am knitting into a pair of Deby's Cotton Candy Socks. I only get to work on them during my lunch 1/2 hour at work. I am working down the foot of sock #1.

At home I have been knitting two pairs of Fiber Trends Felted Clogs from Patons Wool that I Kool Aid Dyed. I ran out and need to find something to contrast for the second soles on both pairs. (they have double soles for durability and softness) They are done in pastel green, pink, yellow and blue and look pretty so far. I will post pics when I get them complete both before and after felting. I need 6 pairs of these clogs total for Christmas gifts this year.

Until next time, KNIT ON!

Another Pair of Cotton Candy Socks

Here is another pair of Deby's Cotton Candy Socks that I have started. I am making these from my superwash handspun wool. I love them so far. The colors are hard to see but it is more of a grayish color with specs of pinks, greens and blues through it. More on the pink side when you see it in person. I can't wait to wear these!!!

Amost finished with Pilar

I have been working on my Pilar Sweater for quite a while so therefore I haven't been able to post alot. Finally I am about finished. I have a few more inches for the turtle neck and it will be complete.

Still Working On Pilar

I don't really have any pictures to post so I thought I would just
write and give a little update.

I have been working diligently on my Pilar sweater. I have knit club tonight at Elaine's Yarn Shop so I should get alot done. Unless I visit and shop too much which happens alot. It is such a nice group of girls. I am working on the sleeves and have completed both the front and back. The only problem I might be able to forsee is the decreasing at the eyelets looks kind of like it bubbles up
the front around the chest. Maybe it won't when I get the sleeves on. This is my first raglan.

I also have another pair of Deby's Cotton Candy socks on the needles. This time I am using my superwash handspun. I only have about 1/4 inch complete but the yarn looks like it will knit up very pretty. I love that pattern. It is a nice lace pattern and fit me comfortably. I will only make one change to the pattern. I think I will make the picot edge cuff alot narrower than the pattern calls for only because I am knitting with a little bit thicker wool and I thought it might be kind of hot on my leg (maybe even a little itchy) with the handspun doubled.

Well, that is all I have for now so get out the needles and Knit On!!!
