Finally Finished Chevron Socks
I haven't posted in quite a while. With my busy schedule it takes me longer than some to complete a project. I have been doing a little spinning and also working on some socks. I finally completed my Chevron socks that I started weeks ago. WOO HOO!!! I am very happy with the way they turned out. I love the light springy colors.
I started another pair of lace socks that are turning out pretty good also.(Memories of Alberta by Northern Sunshine Designs) I was a little intimidated when I first looked at the pattern. All of the different pattern stitches on 4 different needles on the same row. It is neat how the pattern continues up the heel flap. It turns out to be fairly easy and georgous! I am really enjoying the patterned and beaded socks. For the first couple of years that I learned to make socks I just used the self striping yarns in the stockinette st. Now I am becoming adventurous and want to try new things.
Now with summer here Tom and I spend alot of time out on the pontoon. He fishes and I get to knit. That is the best knitting time and so relaxing. I don't have to get up and empty the dishwasher or clothes dryer. I can just sit and knit. It is wonderful. He gets to do what he wants, I get to do what I want and we are still spending time together. I love it!!!
Waiting in the wings I have another pair of Sour Apple Socks that I am doing in pastel pink Fortissima cotton with soft pastel baby color beads.
